Macsimum News is an online newspaper about all things Mac that features, news, reviews (software, hardware, movies, books and music), cartoons, polls and technical support information from their partners at Mac Owners Support Group (MacOSG)--an online Apple User Group.

Dennis Sellers () The site is the brainchild of founder and Chief Macsimizer Dennis Sellers. Sellers has been a newspaper/editor reporter (seven years) and teacher (seven years). He has over 3,000 magazine, newspaper and online articles to his credit. Sellers has written about comic books (Amazing Heroes), fitness (Muscular Development), photography (Rangefinder, Digital Camera Magazine), caving (Tennessee Conservationist), education (EdTech News, Teachers in Focus, ParentGuide News), parenting issues (Nashville Parent, Vermont Parent & Child) and many other topics. He’s had eight short stories published. Sellers has also covered the Mac and tech industries for a decade for such online publications as MacCentral and MacMinute.

Associate Editors:

Daniel East () Daniel is a technology author, freelance writer, presenter/trainer and consultant with more than 20 years experience in professional photography, design, pro-audio and music industry marketing. East is also founder and president of The Apple Groups Team support network for user groups.

Dave Merten () Dave was one of the founding guides at ‘The Mining Company,’ now known as About.com, in February 1998. Dave was their ‘Focus on Mac Support’ guide, and has hundreds of Mac support-related articles to his credit. A member of The Association of Macintosh Trainers, Dave is presently a Level 4 support person (Mac Medic) at Apple Discussions, and also was a past staff member at the former NoWonder.com, where he has assisted thousands of Mac users with technical problems over the years. In 2004 he started ‘G5 Owners Support Group,’ and in 2005, renamed it ‘Mac Owners Support Group.’ In 2006, he started the ‘MacOSG Support Corner’ column here at Macsimum News. After working 30+ years in the electronics repair field, Dave has an enormous passion for tackling difficult problem issues and helping Mac users. He resides in Oshkosh, WI.

Frank Petrie () Frank is an Associate Editor and writer for Macsimum News whose technology and product reviews are reprinted in many newsletters. He is also the host and producer of the vidcast of the ’The Video Sandbox,’ a program that takes an absurdist view of politics and pop culture. Frank is also the composer of Beethoven’s obscure collection of Sonatas for Jaw Harp in D minor.

Gerry Curry () is a 22 year veteran of the Apple/Mac world. He writes out “North by Northeast” column. Curry has worked as a technician, systems engineer, consultant, trainer and reseller both in southwestern Ontario and Nova Scotia. Currently he is Principal of Curry Systems and Consulting, an Apple Canada Authorized Value Added Reseller. Gerry lives on the southwestern tip of Nova Scotia, close to Yarmouth, on Canada’s east coast, where he shares 30 acres close to the sea with his wife Nancy and their Welsh Springer Spaniels. Gerry enjoys tinkering with computers, working his dogs, flying, fishing and photography.

Don Foy () is a past president and current Apple ambassador for the Upper Cumberland Macintosh User Group in Cookeville, Tennessee. He is also a former newspaper reporter who has been fixing Macs for 13 years. His first Mac was a Mac Plus maxed out with 4MB of RAM and a 17MB hard drive.
