‘Woz’ not crazy about the 2G iPhone, Apple TV, MacBook Air

Apple co-founder Steve (“Woz”) Wozniak says he wishes Apple hadn’t released a 2G version of the iPhone; that the Apple TV is frustrating to use, and that the MacBook Air won’t be a hit.
He made the comments while in Sydney, Australia, keynoting at the Broadband and Beyond Conference organized by peak national telco body Communications Alliance and co-hosted by Telstra Wholesale. The conference conference addresses “big-picture” issues including convergence, reductions in greenhouse gas emissions thanks to high bandwidth, and new business alliances.
However, Woz’s comments during a press Q&A session ranged beyond the topics of broadband and telecommunications to the latest Apple products. Read the details APC.

Marc Says:
Woz tends to be spot-on in terms of usability and effectiveness (particularly gadget-type things) well beyond Apple. After hearing him speak several times, I know that I agree with a lot of his product evaluations. He cuts right through hype and, even though it make cause a few people to bash him, there are a lot of people who have great respect for him and his endeavors. I am one of them. I hardly think iPhone sales are suffering as a result of a random comment, either.

Hari Seldon Says:
Woz needs to STFU, I know he is and will always be a legend, but he’s not in the loop at Apple these days.
He was not involved in the design decisions of these products and is not familiar with the trade offs.
Like I said, the man is a legend, but enough already.

Alice C. Says:
So, it seems a lot of people feel that they are entitled to their opinions, but Woz can’t have his? It doesn’t matter if he’s in the loop or not, he’s a consumer and can like stuff or not - just like anyone else. His opinion may be just a *tad* more experienced than others - even if he were working at a 7-11 (where he would still get to have an opinion and probably make a killer Slurpee and make that job seem fun, too).
