WaveMaker, a provider of open source tools for web application development, has released Visual Ajax Studio 3.2. The new version introduces a beta installer for Mac OS 10.5 (“Leopard”) and full support for the Safari web browser, bringing WaveMaker’s drag-and-drop Java development to the Mac.
The WaveMaker Visual Ajax Studio lets users create database-driven Java web applications without having to write complex code, according to Jean-Louis Gassé, general partner at Allegis Capital and ex-Apple executive. Using WaveMaker, IT managers and the users they support can reduce development time while enabling increased participation, feedback and collaboration, he adds.
WaveMaker Studio is an open source development toolkit that provides drag and drop development of Java web applications. It’s available under the GNU AGPL version 3 open source license, as well as a WaveMaker commercial license.
