VMware prices Initial Public Offering

VMware, which makes such products as the Fusion virtualization sofware for Mac OS X, has announced that the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of 33,000,000 shares of its Class A Common Stock has been priced at US$29 per share. Shares will begin trading Aug. 14 on the NYSE under the ticker symbol “VMW.”
Citi, JPMorgan and Lehman Brothers acted as the representatives of the underwriters and, together with Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch & Co. and Deutsche Bank Securities, acted as the joint book-running managers of the offering.
VMWare released Fusion on Aug. 6. It allows Mac users to simultaneously run Mac OS X, Windows and other PC-based applications on a single Mac.
