VimpelCom, a Russian telecoms firm, will be carrying the iPhone in Russia. It’s the first carrier in the country to officially carry the Apple communications device.
VimpelCom will start carrying the device later this year, though an exact time hasn’t been announced. Pricing details haven’t been announced either.
This doesn’t mean that there aren’t iPhones in Russia. Purportedly, up to 600,000 iPhones have already flooded into Russia through unauthorized sales.
