Vertex Solutions and Apple have announce a teaming agreement between the two companies that enables Apple to provide its products and services to Federal clients using the U.S. Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) Training and Management Assistance (TMA) contract vehicle.
As a TMA prime contractor, VERTEX will collaborate with Apple to help TMA clients integrate their innovative products and services into effective Blended Learning solutions. With the coming departure of the “Baby Boomer” generation, the Federal government recognizes the need to attract and retain new generations of employees, says Jeff Kidwell, president of Vertex. To meet the needs of tomorrow’s workforce, organizations are providing “blended” training options using a wide range of delivery platforms and media, he says.
“Apple products such as the iPod, iPhone, and Mac have appealed to younger ‘digital natives’ for many years,” Kidwell says. “In conjunction with Vertex’s e-Learning and instructional expertise, tomorrow’s Federal workers can now use these same Apple products for secure mobile learning, performance support, and content development virtually anytime and anywhere.”
