First Direct has joined Lloyds TSB to offer full online banking services to Mac users in the UK. The company has confirmed its online banking services now fully support Safari browser, “a significant move given recalcitrance on the part of UK banks to furnish Mac support in their online banking properties,” notes Macworld UK.
The bank has also enhanced its Internet banking service to offer a “seamless online experience for all its customers using an iPhone or an iPod touch,” a representative of the bank told Macworld UK. While Safari is supported, there are still some issues to be worked out. For example, Safari doesn’t yet support printing of bank statements.
The “Macsimum MWSF 2007 Coupon Book” is available for download. You can find it here and print it as a PDF. It has discounts, special offers and promotions.

Stuart Says:
Natwest’s UK internet banking service has supported Safari for over 18 months now. A much improved performance for MAc users now it does, and it performs better than when you connect using IE on a Windows machine.
