Toon Boom releases Flip Boom Classic

imageToon Boom Animation today announced the release of Flip Boom Classic, a new version of Flip Boom. It’s designed as animation software for kids of all ages.

Flip Boom Classic lets you print a flip book of your drawings. You can set up your animation within the camera frame and lay out your drawings on top of each other. You can also publish your animation directly to your iPod.

Flip Boom Classic costs US$39.99. Current Flip Boom customers can upgrade to the Classic version for $9.99. Available in electronic format only, Flip Boom Classic runs on Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5.

Toon Boom has also updated Toon Boom Studio, its photo animation and live-action cartooning software, to version 4.5. With the update you can add animation over your videos, print drawings to create flipbooks or use as a reference, import multi-layer Photoshop files and import Flip Boom and Animation-ish projects to animate them further. You can also export animation directly to iTunes and YouTube

You can get Toon Boom Studio 4.5 at the special pre-launch price of $329.99 until July 31. As of July 25, all new clients will receive a Toon Boom Studio 4.0 key. Their Studio 4.5 license key will be automatically registered and emailed to them upon product release in August for them to download the software All new clients will see their version 4.5 purchase listed on the “my products” page once the transaction is completed. All orders requiring shipping will be processed upon product release.
