“The MUG Event Calendar” is buzzing with events and guests for the second week of October.
Adam Engst of TidBITS, Take Control and MacNotables is back for the second week in a row, this time visiting a group in his home state of New York. Not to be out-done, fellow MacNotable and Macworld Senior Editor Christopher Breen will speak to a group in his home state of California.
But that’s just where it starts. Apple celebrity Guy Kawasaki be the honored guest at another New York group, Ian Schray of Softpress will visit a Florida group, Danilo Diaz of Microsoft will present Office 2008 to a Pennsylvania MUG, Michael Stoddard of Adobe will show off Creative Suite 4 in Australia, Andrew Welch of Ambroia Softwre will show up at an Alaskan group, and Christian Pickman will demonstrate the stable of Micromat products to a California group.
Other topics in this busy week include a Photoshop World roundup, a demo of the Eye-Fi media card, Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, eBay, MobileMe, BeLight’s Art Text 2 and much more.
“The MUG Event Calendar” can be found at The MUG Center, an online resource for Mac User Groups. MUGs are good places for making new friends in the Mac community, improving your computing skills, finding solutions to technical problems, and perhaps locating a good deal on used hardware. For more info on MUGs, and to find the location of the one nearest you, go to Apple’s MUG page.
