Big Stone Phone has updated TalkingPics, its audio and photo recorder for the iPhone and iPod touch, to version 1.2. The upgrade adds a new MP3 compression option and a new preference to choose either the high quality lossless format or the WAV compressed format.
TalkingPics features the ability to upload audio and images to the desktop via Safari on the Mac or Windows. Users of other browsers can install Apple’s free Bonjour plug-in to allow them to download files right through the browser.
Additionally, Mac users can automate the process with an Applescript produced by TalkingPics. Version 1.2 can handle audio files of any size; upload speed has also been improved.
TalkingPic 1.2 has an option to use the full size image (1200 by 1600 dpi) and more than doubles the default size image (600 by 800). Speed to take snapshots has also been improved. TalkingPics is available at the Apple App Store for US$9.99.
