imageMesa Dynamics has released a technology preview of Stainless, which the company says is the first multi-process web browser for OS X, inspired by Google Chrome. Each tab in Stainless runs in a separate process.

Like Chrome, Stainless also has tabs that can be dragged between windows, a unified address and search bar, and a private browsing mode. Stainless is freeware and requires Mac OS X 10.5 (“Leopard”). Version 0.1 is available immediately for download.
