SplashID Desktop Edition comes to Mac OS X

SplashData, a provider of mobile productivity software, is making its SplashID smartphone application for organizing and managing passwords, available for Mac OS X and Windows desktop users.

SplashID Desktop Edition lets you store, sort and organize confidential information on your desktop. You can store an unlimited number of customizable records (such as passwords, credit card numbers, registration codes, membership numbers, insurance information and birthdays) on desktop or notebook computers. It offers 256-bit Blowfish encryption and a password generator that creates new passwords based on criteria selected by the user.

SplashID Desktop Edition allows you to mask your information from the view of others, store an unlimited number of records, and share information with family members or colleagues. It features a number of customizable options, such as icons that enable users to sort and locate information.

SplashID Desktop Edition is available for download and costs US$19.95. It’s compatible with Mac OS X 10.2 or higher and Windows 98/ME/NT4/2000/XP. SplashID Desktop Edition can be upgraded to a version that synchronizes with a smartphone for $9.95.
