The iPhone Developer Program page on the Apple web site has changed. Before it stated: “the iPhone Developer Program will initially be available to a limited number of developers in the U.S. and will expand to other countries in the coming months.” Now it says, “the iPhone Developer Program will initially be available to a limited number of developers during the beta period.”
So international developers can buy the electronic certificate, like the US developers, to place their applications on App Store when Apple activates it.
You can read more about it here. (setteB.IT is an Italian language web site for Mac users and one of Macsimum News’ partners.)
Also, a TUAW article says a UK developer bought the standard certificate for £ 59. The price in euro is unknown.
