Today mobile carrier 3 Italy showed the new La3 TV channel for mobile phones. Later Vincenzo Novari, CEO of 3 Italy, told media representatives that “we are clearly super-interested in the iPhone.”
“We can sign any kind of contract with them but Steve Jobs didn’t answer to my two email messages” added Novari. Mobile carrier 3 Italy will wait for a while. If nothing happens with Apple, they may ask officials to look at antitrust issues
Currently, the iPhone will be sold in Italy with two major carriers: TIM and Vodafone. There are four mobile carrier in Italy: TIM, Vodafone, Wind and 3. In June 2007 Novari told setteB.IT this about the iPhone in Italy: “You need to ask Vodafone, as they’re working on it. We don’t have contacts—but we would.”
