RSMeans releases construction, do-it-yourself books on iPhone, Kindle

image RSMeans, a supplier of construction cost information and a division of Reed Construction Data, has begun releasing its reference books in electronic format, allowing customers to instantly download the electronic books (ebooks) to Amazon’s Kindle e-book reader, as well as the iPhone and iPodtouch through the Kindle for iPhone application.

The first RSMeans e-books include Construction Business Management by Nick B. Ganaway and The Homeowner’s Guide to Mold by Michael Pugliese, CMR, CMT. These publications join more than 275,000 books available through the Kindle Store, along with thousands of U.S. and international newspapers, magazines and blogs.

RSMeans plans to expand the number of titles available on the Kindle platform this year, including Green Home Improvement, How Your House Works and the Means Heavy Construction Handbook. In addition to its collection of reference materials, RSMeans publishes a series of annual construction cost data books and electronic cost databases, and offers construction estimating and facilities management seminars and consulting services.
