Review: Room to ride on the Horseman laptop bag

The Horseman from Crumpler is a laptop bag for those road warriors who need to carry a lot of stuff. It’s spacious enough that I carried my MacBook Pro, plenty of accessories, my son and two monkeys on a recent trip. Okay, I’m exaggerating (it was just one monkey), but this is one spacious—and weather tough—bag.
The Horseman fits a 17-inch laptop (MacBook Pros and Power Macs) and accessories, A4/letter size documents and magazines, as well as other goodies. Even stuffed, the bag is still very manageable. Its interior is not only large, but well padded and extremely well designed. The back section holds your laptop, and the center storage area can hold things such as extra batteries and your AC adapter. There are also pockets inside these sub-sections. The zipper-handles are big enough so that navigation is easy.
The US$155 bag features a water-resistant 1000d nylon shell and 420d ripstop nylon lining, fully padded main and laptop compartments, an external gusseted zip pocket with a six-pocket organizer, three internal front pockets, an adjustable main strap with Quick Flick buckle, a removable shoulder pad with “Third Leg” stability strap and a Velcro release flap. The main strap is comfortable, and the stability strap does a good job in helping displace strain when the Horseman is fully loaded. The Horseman comes in dark brown, oatmeal, blue, light blue, olive, dark olive, dark grey, red and dark red flavors.
If you don’t need a really big bag or if you don’t carry lots of accessories/peripherals/extraneous items with you when you travel, the Horseman is overkill. But if you need all the room possible, there’s not a bigger or better made laptop bag/case.
Especially if you’re packing a monkey.

Big BAD Benny Says:
Awesome: one point - The Cashmere Blazer laptop bag by Crumpler is even larger! More cargo space but also a larger laptop slot, perhaps suitable for some PC 17” models… BBB)))
