imageRadiohead is in talks with Apple for the release of their album, In Rainbows on the iTunes Store, reports Billboard. The British alternative rockers’ EMI catalog remains a notable omission from the world’s leading download store because of the band’s assertion that its albums remain complete, the articlel adds.

iTunes’ model allows customers to unbundle albums, or pick and chose individual tracks. Radiohead does, however, have a handful of songs on iTunes that were included on various soundtracks or compilations.

Bryce Edge, of the band’s management team, Courtyard Management, told Billboard that talks are ongoing with iTunes. A deal with Apple Computer’s download store would “represent a massive breakthrough on a number of levels, and one which apparently would require a shift in position from one of the parties,” the trade publication notes.
