imagePresenta has updated iGetter, its download manager and accelerator for Mac OS X, to version 2.8. The new version has been optimized for Safari 4 on Mac OS X 10.5 (“Snow Leopard”).

Version 2.8 also adds support for 64-bit browsers in the iGetter Browser plug-in. It also adds support for Camino 2.x and the Firefox 3.x cookie file format on Snow Leopard. Plus, it has a reworked integration method with the Snow Leopard Safari browser.

iGetter works with Mac OS X 10.2 or higher. It’s Universal Binary so runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel Macs. It costs US$25, though version 2.8 is a free update for registered users of version 2.x.
