imageTLA Systems has announced a new release (1.1) of the PCalc calculator for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s available to download today from the Apple App Store for US$9.99. There’s also a corresponding update to PCalc for Mac OS X (updated to version 3.3.1).

The iPhone/iPod touch version has added, in response to user requests, multiple button layouts and new calculator themes. You can now choose from many different horizontal and vertical layouts, some inspired by classic RPN calculators. The default layouts have been improved significantly to make them easier to use. Also, there are three new optional appearances, each with color-coded buttons to make it easier to find what you’re ooking for.

PCalc 3.3.1 for Mac OS X includes all of the improvements made to the core maths code for the iPhone release, and fixes a number of Mac-specific problems.

PCalc for Mac OS X costs $19. Version 3.3.1 is a free update for registered users of version 3.x.
