‘Pangea Software’s Ultimate Game Programming Guide for Mac OS X’ now free

Pangea Software has begun offering the programming book, Pangea Software’s Ultimate Game Programming Guide for Mac OS X for free. Previously, it costs US$49.95.

The book is penned by Brian Greenstone, the developer who programmed Nanosaur, Bugdom, Cro-Mag Rally, Enigmo, Otto Matic and other games. It covers such topics as the Mac HID Manager, OpenGL, OpenAL, Core Graphics, Rendezvous, QuickTime, writing a plug-in for Maya, doing stereo 3D rendering, networking, AltiVec optimizations, and how to copy-protect games. A companion CD contains Xcode sample projects including a fully functional Maya file exporter, networking code, Vertex Array Range acceleration, threading and a more.

The “Macsimum MWSF 2007 Coupon Book” is available for download. You can find it here and print it as a PDF. It has discounts, special offers and promotions in conjunction with the upcoming Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco.
