There were a lot of great products introduced in 2009. Recently, the Macsimum team put its collective heads together to choose our 10 favorites. Here they are…
The 27-inch iMac: it’s simply Apple’s best all-in-one desktop yet. At least if you got one that wasn’t plagued by graphics problems (and our review unit wasn’t). If it only had a Blu-ray option it would be darn near perfect.
The 13-inch MacBook Pro: it’s powerful, portable and relatively affordable. What more could you want in an Apple laptop?
NewerTech Voyager Q, a hard drive docking bundles that come complete with the NewerTech Voyager hard drive dock, a SATA hard drive in capacities up to 2TB. You can save money and space.
Sorenson Squeeze 6, an update to the video encoding software application. It turns what was a chore into the easiest part of a video production workflow.
Bento 3, a great update to the Mac only database software “for the rest of us.”
Poser 8, the latest, greatest update of the versatile 3D figure design and animation software package with countless applications.
The fourth generation iPod touch: the new version had increased capacity and could handle everything from games to music to movies. It was a souped-up iPhone without the AT&T chains. If it only had a built-in camera and camcorder a la its smartphone and nano cousins.
HP Photosmart Premium: wireless and efficient, it may be HP’s best all-in-one ever.
Elgato Turbo.264 HD, a tool that converts video files to a format that can be played on an iPod, iPhone, and Apple TV, used on a computer, and shared on the web. It’s a must-have for AVCHD camcorder owners.
Adobe CS4 Master Collection: this collection has it all for the creative professional and for a huge variety of mediums and formats.
