nova media has unveiled FoneSync for LG phones, an utility to synchronize address book contacts and iCal calendars between Mac OS X and LG phones. The program currently works with the phone models HB620T, KF750 and KU990.

“Many LG phones can not work with iSync, so we decided to create our own sync solution for these phones.” sys Jan Fuellemann, PR spokesperson at nova media. “FoneSync can be set to synchronize selected address book groups and iCal calendars from Mac OS X and includes the option to sync only those contacts with a phone number included.”

Support for more phones will follow shortly, he says. To speed up this process, nova media has developed , a free tool to check if a phone can be added to FoneSync. PhoneInspector will inspect a phone and create a report, which can then be e-mailed to nova media.

FoneSync for LG phones is available for approximately US$27. It requires Mac OS X 10.5.8 or higher and a Bluetooth-enabled Mac.
