KSI Services, Inc., one of greater Washington’s largest commercial and residential developers, has announced the commencement of leasing and the grand opening of the information center at The Metropolitan at Reston Town Center. Soaring 21-stories above Reston, the Metropolitan will offer 288 apartments with over 30 different floor plans and more than 12,000 square feet of private resident amenity areas. As an introductory promotion, all new leases come with a MacBook.
Other high-tech offerings include WiFi in all amenity spaces and Verizon’s FiOS fiber optic technology in each apartment with connection speeds from up to 2 to 30MB per second. Verizon FiOS TV, which delivers more than 200 all-digital TV channels, more than 20 high-definition TV channels, music and other advanced features, will also be available.
The Metropolitan is the only new high-rise apartment building along the Dulles Toll Road corridor and the first ultra-luxury apartment community in western Fairfax County. Monthly rents will range from US$1,300 to $3,700. KSI expects residents to begin occupancy by early December.
Lee Givens Says:
To me when people talk about Washington, they are talking about Washington, DC, not the state. Having lived in both Seattle and Maryland (DC suburbs), it goes both ways David.

No, i think David has a point: If you’re talking about the District of Columbia, append the DC behind the word Washington. It doesn’t cost you much, and it makes your writing unambiguous. This is especially true when writing for a national or international audience.

David Petersen Says:
To me when people talk about Washington they are talking about Washington the State but you must be talking about Washington DC so if you could refer to that capitol of the USA as Washington DC then us here in Washington the State might understand where you are talking about. Washington State has some leading tech companies that would see this as a bonus too but I’m glad there starting to do this somewhere.
