image At this week’s National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas Unlimi-Tech is launching FileCatalyst, a software-only solution for Mac creative pros who need to tackle large point-to-point file transfers such as feature films, 3-D animations and geo-spatial images. It works with Mac OS X (as well as Windows and Linux systems).

FileCatalyst can be remotely installed on a Mac in less than 20 minutes for fast, interactive collaboration on large datasets commonly found in media, advertising agency, government, military and enterprise Wide Area Network (WAN) settings, according to Unlimi-Tech CEO Chris Bailey. It requires a server component and a client-side component. The software solution is largely immune to network impairments such as packet loss and delay, Bailey says.

The FileCatalyst family includes several members and pricing options. Contact Unlimi-Tech for details.
