Glance Networks debuted a new lightweight Remote Control feature for Macs at this week’s Macworld Conference & Expo. Now Mac users can remotely share their mouse and keyboard with other Glance Web conference participants to quickly demonstrate software, co-edit documents, collaborate on designs, and provide remote training—in realtime over the web.
Glance is a cross-platform tool that allows for transitions between multiple operating systems. With the new Remote Control feature, a Glance host can instantly share control with guests at any time—on a Mac or a PC, according to Rich Baker, founder and CEO of Glance Networks. The host instantly regains control by moving his or her mouse. To let a guest take back control, the host simply pauses.
Glance is browser-based and requires no guest download. It’s based on a software-as-a-service model. MWSF attendees can see a demo of Glance’s new Remote Control feature at booth number S-2043 at the Moscone Center.
The “Macsimum MWSF 2007 Coupon Book” is available for download. You can find it here and print it as a PDF. It has discounts, special offers and promotions in conjunction with the upcoming Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco.
