MWSF: Gee Three bringing Slick effects to Final Cut Pro, FCP Express

imageGee Three is bringing its extensive collection of Slick video effects to Final Cut Express 4 and Final Cut Pro. The first volume of the effects will be released in the spring at a price under US$100. Gee Three’s Bruce Gee gave Macsimum News a preview at this week’s Macworld Conference & Expo.

“The effects are designed to offer 3-4 controls for flexibility, but without complexity,” he says. “They’re not designed for professional users, but for mid-level users who want to spend a little time creating a cool looking video.”

Until the introduction of iMovie ‘08, the Slick effects worked with the video creation component of iLife, and were especially popular with users of iLife HD. Apple’s current reasoning seems to be that iLife ‘08 is for making really quick videos, and that users who wish to do more will use Final Cut Pro Express or higher.

The “Macsimum MWSF 2007 Coupon Book” is available for download. You can find it here and print it as a PDF. It has discounts, special offers and promotions in conjunction with the upcoming Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco.
