MUG News: Apple reps appearing at MUG meetings, more

Apple is out in force around the globe with three different appearances at Mac User Group meetings. You can read the details here at The MUG Center, an online resource for user groups.
° The editors of Macsimum News, The Mac Observer and MacCentral have joined the User Group Report for the first “Mac News Braintrust” roundtable discussion. They’re, respectively, Dennis Sellers, Bryan Chaffin and Jim Dalrymple and they discuss the Apple-Intel announcement, the trend of podcasting and more.The User Group Report is available for online listening, as a podcast and as a downloadable MP3 file here.
° The approaching end of the month means that there are user group offers expiring next week. MUG members only have a few days left to save money on user group-only offers from. Details can be found here.
° There are times when you’re on the road that having more than one Mac would be a great benefit. Cost and weight make that impractical in most cases. But you can do the next best thing: multiply your mobile Mac. Here’s how.
° User group leaders do what they do for a variety of reasons. Fun, friendship and the desire to help others and the opportunity to educate top the list.
