Modality releases Mosby’s iTerms for iPhone, iPod touch

Elsevier, a publisher of science and health content, has partnered with Modality, which makes learning content for iPhones and iPods, to release Mosby’s iTerms Medical Terminology Flash Cards for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s an application that combines text, audio, and images into an effective solution for learning medical terms. 



Mosby’s iTerms Medical Terminology Flash Cards for iPhone enable students to memorize the prefixes, suffixes, and combining forms used to build medical terminology. It features 811 digital cards adapted from Mosby’s print deck of medical terminology flash cards, full-color illustrations, word building examples, and audio pronunciations for each word.



With Mosby’s iTerms Medical Terminology for iPhone, students can browse through medical term flash cards with the flick of finger, tap to “flip” them over, then listen to audio pronunciations to make sure they’ve gotten them right. It costs US$39.99 and is available at the Apple App Store .
