Mocra builds free iPhone app for surfers

imageOakley and Surfline have teamed up to release Surf Report for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s designed to help you “find the best waves.” Surf Report is available at the Apple App Store.

It provides users with live surf and weather information for thousands of beaches around the world. Thanks to the iPhone’s GPS, you can find and research all your local beaches.

Surf Report integrates multiple web services from Surfline (surf and weather) and Oakley (community news). It implements a theme by Mark Jardine from Oakley for many of the iPhone software development kit elements. Surf Report uses the iPhone’s GPS to find local beaches and touch interactions to give it a native iPhone feel.
