Many MobileMe users have been without email for four-plus days and users have been telling Macsimum News that Apple has been “ruthless” in regards to censoring the forums.
As one MobileMe subscriber put it: “Many of us are frustrated simply because we’re attempting to have a voice and we’re being blatantly ignored. Apple support sees no solution in sight. Chat support has been made unavailable to all re. MobileMe.”
You can check out more in the MobileMe discussions here, here and here.
On July 16 Apple acknowledged problems with the MobileMe service and unveiled plans for extension eligibility eligibility and details on July 16. The company apologized on July 16, as well, saying, “We have recently completed the transition from .Mac to MobileMe. Unfortunately, it was a lot rockier than we had hoped.”
Apple said that “fortunately, we have worked through those problems and the web apps are now up and running.” But it seems that there’s still a way to go before all the problems have indeed been worked out.
MobileMe is a new Internet service that delivers push email, push contacts and push calendars from the MobileMe service in the “cloud” to native applications on the iPhone, iPod touch, Macs and PCs. It replaces the .Mac service.
