IK Multimedia is shipping the Miroslav Philharmonik Classik Edition, an introductory version to the virtual instrument orchestral plug-in. Based on the classic Miroslav Orchestra sample collection masterpiece, Miroslav Philharmonik CE is a full-featured orchestral virtual instrument covering solo instruments and ensembles.
It has 250 orchestral sounds spanning the entire orchestra in 1.5GB of samples that were sampled in the historic Dvorák Symphony Hall with true spatial positioning. The Miroslav Philharmonik Classik Edition is based on the original Miroslav Vitous Symphonic Orchestra sample collections. Features include: a 16-part multitimbral sample-based orchestral workstation; 20 DSP effects; four insert effects instrument; four master effects with separate sends; a master reverb derived from CSR; multiple synth engines including STRETCH and Pitch-Shift/Time-Stretch; a zone feature for accurate single sample editing; MIDI control of performance parameters; and part preset and Combi preset customization features; and 256 notes polyphony.
The Miroslav Philharmonik Classik Edition is available as a VST, RTAS, AU plug-in (as well as a standalone application) for Mac OS X and Windows from the same box. It has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US$249.
