imageMicrosoft Hardware has released the Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse 8000, a rechargeable notebook mouse with 1GB of flash memory built right into the transceiver. It’s Mac and Windows compatible.

It uses a magnetic charging system that lets consumers continue working while the mouse charges. The charging cord magnetically connects at one end to the underside of the mouse, and the other to the tip of the transceiver. Included AAA rechargeable batteries purportedly offer more than three weeks of battery power on a full charge.

The Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 features 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth. A switch on the bottom of the mouse enables Bluetooth notebook users to connect directly to their laptop without using the included transceiver. The 2.4GHz transceiver connects to all notebooks.

The Microsoft Mobile Memory Mouse 8000 will be available in October for an estimated retail price of US$99.95. You can pre-order it at Amazon.com.
