MCE releases SuperDrive upgrade for MacBooks, MacBook Pros

MCE Technologies has announced an 8X DVD-Recordable internal SuperDrive upgrade for the MacBook and 15-inch MacBook Pro.
With the US$199 upgrade you can write up to 8.5GB onto a single dual-layer DVD media. It’s an all-in-one DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW and CD-R/RW recorder that lets you record to DVD media at up to 8x speed and to CD media at up to 24x speed.
The SuperDrive upgrade has a slot-loading mechanism, 2MB cache buffer and buffer underrun protection. It’s compatible with iDVD, iTunes, iPhoto, Finder Burning, DVD Studio Pro, and Apple DVD Player.
