imageOn the new MacVoices, Warren Williams of the AppleWorks Users Group and iWork Users Group has been busy testing Apple’s legacy office suite AppleWorks under the newest version of the Mac OS.

He talks about the steps necessary to assure functionality and minimize problems with AppleWorks under Mac OS X 10.5 (“Leopard”) and the surprising performance results. For those who are preparing to migrate from AppleWorks, Williams tells you where you can get more information on the 31-step process for moving AppleWorks databases to FileMaker. If you’re not, he shares the secret of how you can still buy AppleWorks from Apple, even though it isn’t on the web site.

MacVoices is an Internet show and podcast that delivers in-depth discussions with the most influential people in the Mac industry, as well as “the individuals who are out there making it happen on the front lines of the global Apple community,” according to host Chuck Joiner.

Dennis Raymond Says:

Can you tell me, is Apple going to release software for an HP 2610
all-in-one printer now that Apple came out with Leopard. I would hate to have a printer that’s useless. The all-in-one does a great job as a printer-copy-fax-scanner.
Will the software that came with the printer, be usable. When I installed Leopard, then reinstalled the old HP. Everything worked, but the OCR dead. It didn’t work.
I appreciate you help
