On the latest edition of The MacJury, the jurors take on the case of on-demand content delivery options.
They discuss the announcements of a NetFlix set-top box, the return of the TiVo lifetime service agreement, Amazon Unbox, the Apple TV, the iTunes Store and Adobe TV. Selection, price, speed, format and “happy cash” are all placed into evidence as the MacJury finds the studios guilty of manipulating content distribution. However, the jury is still out on which options will find favor with consumers of all sophistication levels.
Mac OS X 10.5 (“Leopard”) may not be the best choice for graphics professionals, and the panel discusses who’s at fault, issues surrounding application upgrades, the challenges of working with Apple and more. The members of the panel include Dave Nanian, Steve Sande, Andrew Welch, Terry White and host Chuck Joiner.
