Mac software updates for May 14

Prosoft Engineering has updated Data Backup for Mac OS X, to version 3.0.5. The upgrade is a maintenance release that offers some performance tweaks and bug fixes.
ConvenienceWare has updated its GhostReader text-to-speech software for Mac OS X to version 1.5. The upgrade adds new voices, enhanced iPhone/iPod export, a pronunciation editor and more.
Yazsoft has released Speed Download 5.0.3, the latest version of its Mac OS X download manager that combines four products: a download manager with auto-resuming downloads, a secure FTP client, a file sharing utility with full encryption, and .Mac/iDisk/WEBDAV connectivity. The upgrade adds an plug-in for better performance and for locating the Speed Download application. The app can now download YouTube videos via contextual menu. Starting a download again clears the link to the already downloaded file.
Cocktail 4.1 (Leopard Edition) has been released. It’s the latest update for the general purpose utility for Mac OS X. The upgrade adds support for clearing dynamic link editor’s shared cache as well as support for clearing Internet caches created by the Flock web browser, fixes compatibility issues with Safari 3.1, contains improved Automator actions, adds new interface settings and fixes miscellaneous bugs discovered in the previous release.
Cheetah3D has updated Cheetah 3D— software for modeling, animating and rendering 3D objects—to version 4.6. The upgrade introduces an auto-saving option and more.
Thinking Code Software has updated Dejumble, their task management utility for Mac OS X, to version 1.1.0. The upgrade adds the ability to view daily events from iCal, additional filter and sorting options and more.
Mozilla has released the first alpha version of its upcoming Thunderbird 3.0, the company’s next-generation e-mail application.
