Mac software updates for June 18

imageSoftpress Systems has released Freeway Express and Freeway Pro, its web creation tools, to version 5.1.2. They’re maintenance releases that offer some bug fixes.

Mediatemple has released a beta of XServe-Virtual (x-v), a virtual OS X Leopard Server. It runs on fully loaded Xserves from Apple and uses the Parallels Server software.

Red Sweater Software has updated MarsEdit, weblog publishing software, to version 2.1.4. The upgrade adds a dock menu item for easily starting a new post, supports uploading to specific Picasa album for Blogger users, and more.

Glide has added support for Gmail and integrates Glide’s advanced security and file sharing features to the Glide OS.

Maintain has released Cocktail 4.1.2 (Leopard Edition). It’s the latest maintenance update and adds the possibility of disabling dictionary and calculator results in Spotlight. It also improves the performance of the Pilot scheduler and fixes other bugs discovered in the previous release.

St. Clair Software has updated HistoryHound, the utility for indexing and searching web pages that you’ve bookmarked or visited recently, to version 1.9.5.d5. The upgrade adds a “restore defaults” button to reinstall the default URL filters in the advanced prefs and iCab 4 History to the standard list of search items.

Glims, an add-on for Mac OS X 10.5 (“Leopard”) that adds features to Safari, has been updated to version 1.0b2, adding autocomplete, thumbnails and more.

Tagtraum has updated beaTunes, the iTunes add-on for Mac and Windows, to version 1.2.11. It’s a maintenance update that fixes some bugs.

Nova media has updated FoneLink for Mac OS X, a mobile phone suite that lets you browse through the files of a mobile phone, to version 2.0.2 The upgrade improves working with Samsung cell phones.

Ergonis has updated PopChar, the tool for inserting special characters into text, to version 4.0.1. It’s a maintenance release that fixes some bugs from version 4.0.

Aquafadas has updated PulpMotion—which lets you create animations from your own pictures, videos and music—to version 1.0.2. It’s a maintenance release that offers some performance tweaks and fixes some glitches.

Exibia, which allows clients in a multi-user, multi-platform environment to upload and schedule QuickTime-compatible videos from a web browser for broadcast over a closed-circuit television system, has been updated to version 1.2. The upgrade includes an overhaul to the Exibia web client user interface.

JS8 Media has updated QuartzCube—a configurable, wide-angle, rotating video cube for Mac OS X—to version 2.3. The upgrade makes the inspector window a non-HUD panel to improve visibility. There are also corrections to the movie path and image path fields in the media view of the inspector window.
