Mac software updates for July 3

imagePreFab Software has released Event Taps Testbench 1.1, a free developer utility for exploring Quartz event taps on Mac OS X 10.5 (“Leopard”) and newer. The latest version includes, among other things, support for tablet proximity and pointer events, including examples of tablet event modification on the fly, and a new Current Event window where you can examine the most recent event in real time in a layout showing all available event information at a glance.

The Abvent Group has announced the release of the most recent Artlantis update that includes new languages in addition to English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, and Japanese. Artlantis 2.0.3 is now available in Russian and Korean. The corresponding versions are available from the download section of the Artlantis web site, except for the Korean version, which will be available from the Cadalog Korea distributor only and only for Windows.

Objective Development has released Sharity 3.4, an update of the SMB file system for Unix. This release offers numerous bug fixes, improved compatibility with many Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices and an optional automatic check for updates.

Syncro Soft has updated oXygen, its XML Editor, Schema Editor and XSLT/XQuery Debugger, to version 9.3. The upgrade adds support for editing and processing resources inside ZIP-based packages, including Microsoft Office 2007 (OOXML) and OpenDocument (ODF) documents.

SmileOnMyMac has released DiscLabel 5.2.3, an update to the CD/DVD label design software for Mac OS X. The upgrade features various bug fixes.

PreMinder, a calendaring program, has been updated to version 0.6.8. The upgrade fixes a bug where alarms were being triggered for events repeatedly at the wrong times and also fixes a bug where importing a calendar or creating new events would fail if a user had not stored any events in a previous version of PreMinder and then upgraded the version.

Freeridecoding has updated SmartBackup, a backup tool for Mac OS X, to version 2.2.5. The upgrade offers some bug fixes and minor improvements.

CopyPaste Pro, the multiple clipboard editor/archival utility, has been updated to version 1.0.9. It’s a maintenance release that fixes some bugs.

Event Taps Testbench may be a free tool, but it requires the use of a framework that is sold by the same company....
