Line 6, which makes digital modeling technology for music creation products, has shipped the LowDown LD15 bass amplifier (approximately US$150), which offers 15-watts of pro bass tones and effects.

It delivers a wide range of essential bass models, according to Aaron Suplizio, Line 6 product marketing manager. LowDown LD15 boasts three adjustable Smart FX. The Envelope filter creates a funky wah-wah sound, Chorus adds a smooth and expressive shimmer, and Octaver produces a single note one octave below the note played. A dedicated studio-grade opto compressor model delivers a consistent signal at any volume.

The tone control section features bass, lo-mid, hi-mid and treble controls, and dedicated Drive knob provide for a variety of instant tone adjustments. The LowDown LD15 features a CD/MP3 input for playing along to any music. Plus, the headphone output can be used for direct recording of album-ready LowDown bass tones.
