JAMF Software’s Recon Suite now available for individual purchase

JAMF Software has made the Recon Suite independent from their full-featured client management system. The Recon Suite provides a cross platform inventory solution for an entire network.
The suite collects and builds a network inventory database, including information on Mac and Windows hardware, operating systems, installed applications, disk space, fonts, plug-ins, and patches. It integrates with commercial and educational organizations.
The complete inventory snapshot taken by the Recon Suite eliminates time consuming and costly manual collections and audits, according to Zach Halmstad, JAMF co-founder. The standard inventory collection takes less than 45 seconds and features multiple deployment options, he adds. The Recon Suite also stores purchasing information, tracks warranty and maintenance schedules, and builds simple reports.
The Suite includes Recon for Mac OS X, Recon for Windows, and the JAMF Software Server and is built on technologies included in the OS X server, including Tomcat and MySQL. Contact JAM Software for pricing options.
