One company that often gets overlooked when it come to online videos is [url=http://jaman.com/]a company that offers full length movies for either downloads or rental via a P2P client that works on both Mac and Windows systems. Last week, the company announced distribution agreements with Dreamachine, Fortissimo, the Trust Film Library, and Fortune Star.
Movies in HD format can be purchased for US$4.99 or rented for $1.99. Unlike some of their competitors, the company is focusing on international and indie content, staying away from the Hollywood fare, according to a Gigaom report. Jaman is developing a plug-in of sorts for Apple TV that basically installs on the Apple TV box, and allows your Mac or PC to find and sync content from Jaman’s client to Apple’s box. It still maintains its copyright protected status, and seven-day-rental policy, notes the Gigaom report.
The Apple TV is the first device to which the folks at Jaman have extended their service. The plug-in due “soon.”
