iPhoneDrive update adds music, photo downloading integration

imageeCamm has updated iPhoneDrive, a US$9.95 utility that lets you use your iPhone for file storage, to version 1.2. This free update adds music and photo downloading with iTunes and iPhoto integration, as well as the ability to automatically launch iPhoneDrive when an iPhone or iPod Touch is connected.

iPhoneDrive 1.2 also adds a progress bar and cancel button for transfers and renaming functionality. It now properly displays sizes for folders and adds an “Advanced Mode” for access to all files in the media partition. File browsing speed has been improved. The update adds better integration with the iPod touch and fixes a problem with copying very large files.

With iPhoneDrive’s Mac OS X interface you can transfer files between your Mac and your iPhone. You can drag and drop files between the iPhoneDrive window and your desktop, or use the iPhoneDrive toolbar. Storing files on your iPhone enables you to use your iPhone to backup data or transfer between Macs.

iPhoneDrive doesn’t provide access to your iPhone music and photos. This data is managed via iTunes sync. The app is Universal Binary so runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel Macs. It works with Mac OS X 10.4.10 or later and iTunes 7.3 or higher. A demo is available for download.

Submissions are being taken for the “Macsimum Macworld San Francisco 2008 Coupon Book.” For details email Dennis at daseller@earthlink.net
