iPhone MMS, tethering coming in September?

The Appmodo web site says that MMS and tethering will be coming from AT&T to the iPhone this September. The price for tethering? US$55 on top of your current iPhone plan, the article says.
MMS stands for Multimedia Messaging Service. It’s a telecommunications standard for sending messages that include multimedia objects (images, audio, video, rich text, etc.). Carriers deploy special servers, dubbed MMS Centers (MMSCs) to implement the offerings on their systems. MMS also supports e-mail addressing, so the device can send e-mails directly to an e-mail address. The most common use of MMS is for communication between mobile phones.
Tethering is using a cell phone as a modem for your laptop. Creating a connection either with cables or wirelessly “tethers” your cell phone to your other mobile device. This can be done through Bluetooth wireless technology or cables (such as USB), allowing the device without built-in access to connect to the Internet, using the other device as a modem.
