iPhone app ‘kill-switch’ can now be easily disabled on jailbroken iPhones

If you have a jailbroken iPhone, you can easily disable the iPhone app kill-switch via the latest version (2.1.2b) of the Boss Preferences (BossPrefs) app. You can download and install it from your Cydia Installer.

Brian, I would trust downloading an app from the Cydia Installer on a jailbroken iPhone before an app from the App Store. Developers/hackers scrutinize those apps pretty close. ;-)

Great, wonder how soon we’ll see malware show up in some app for jailbroken phones, and if the user has turned off the kill switch, not even Apple would be able to turn it off. That’ll be interesting to watch.
The worst part? THe media will likely jump all over it and make sure the part about the phone being jail broken will be buried somewhere in the story.
