imageIomega has introduced the US$149.95 eGo Leather Portable Hard Drive, a “luxury hard drive” targeted to business executives and fashionistas. The 250GB drive is wrapped in brown leather.

Since it’s USB-powered, the 2.5-inch drive requires no separate power supply. It comes with a license for EMC Retrospect HD software for automatic backups, scheduled backups, or on-demand backups.

Iomega’s DropGuard technology is designed to protect the eGo Leather Drive from accidental damage caused by drops of up to 51 inches. It’s compatible with Mac OS X 10.1 or higher.
