Macsimum News is proud to announce a new iPhone/iPod touch app recently developed to keep our readers informed and entertained when they’re mobile. Our new Macsimum News iPhone/iPod touch app has 11 buttons that perform 11 different informative tasks—kind of like a Macsimum News “Swiss Army Knife” type app, if you will. It offers Mac-related news, support and entertainment. Below is a list of all the buttons and the tasks they perform:
• Latest Macsimum News: This button accesses all the latest articles in chronological order that we post.
• Latest Forum Posts: This button accesses all the latest posts in our “Macsimum MacOSG Forums.”
• Listen to Latest Podcasts: This button accesses all the latest “Macsimum News” podcasts in chronological order.
• Read Latest Newsletter: This button accesses our current and past newsletters.
• Follow MN on Twitter: This button accesses Macsimum News on Twitter.
• Macsimum iPhone Videos: This button accesses all of our “Demo,” “How-to” and “Review & Miscellaneous” iPhone videos.
• Macsimum News Homepage: This button accesses our homepage, if you wish to quickly scan through all the latest articles (along with graphics) posted.
• About Macsimum News: This button lists all Macsimum News editors and contributors.
• The Video Sandbox: Our app just wouldn’t be complete without a little entertainment. This button gives you access to all the latest “Video Sandbox” podcasts, by our own loco “Box Head,” Frank Pertie.
• Mac Owners Support Group: This button accesses a bunch of Mac support information and the MacOSG Podcasts.
• Mac611 – Mobile Mac Support: This button will give you Mac support at your finger tips when your mobile.

Installation Instructions:
1. Simply open your mobile Safari app.
2. Type in the following mobile URL: macsimumnews.mobi (No need to download the app from iTunes.)
3. Tap in the ”+” button in the center bottom of your screen, as in the photo above.
4. Tap on the “Add to Home Screen” button.
5. Type in a name for the Macsimum News app icon and save it. I used “Macsimum” as you can see in the photo below.
If you ever want to remove the app, simply hold the icon until it wiggles and then tap on the “X.”
