imageIntelliScanner Corp. has unveiled the IntelliScanner Pro 200, a Mac OS X compatible inventory management solution designed for small business. The US$199 scanner utilizes barcode technology and software to organize inventory, track assets and integrate with business applications.

IntelliScanner Pro allows small business owners to add barcodes to their business – without any prior barcode experience. By scanning the barcode on business inventory, users can create an entire database of their assets to know what’s in stock, where it is and what they have invested, says Paul Scandariato, director and CEO, IntelliScanner Corp. The scanner integrates with third-party business programs.

The software helps build an inventory database with customizable templates, gives notification of low stock items, provides detailed inventory reports and stores photos and notes. Additional features allow users to reconcile inventory and change quantities as items are received and sold.

IntelliScanner Pro integrates with accounting and database software such as Excel, FileMaker Pro, Bento, Access, QuickBooks, Numbers, MYOB and LightSpeed. The included Keyboard Emulation software allows users to customize the scanner to “type” barcodes into third-party applications, just like a keyboard. In addition, IntelliScanner Pro can enter data in any FileMaker field, add items to an invoice in QuickBooks or scan barcodes directly into an Excel spreadsheet.
