imageZevriz has updated InPreflight, a quality control solution for Adobe InDesign that lets users locate potential problems and produce error-free documents, to version 2.2.5. The software now correctly reports the color mode of Illustrator CS3 EPS files saved with the “Include Thumbnail” option.

The upgrade also offers faster scanning of vector EPS files. Plus it fixes an issue in which the EPS font/color menus were active font vector EPS files without fonts/colors.

InPreflight provides a preflight solution for service providers, printers, ad agencies, designers and publishing houses. It gives information on all document’s fonts, colors and links and allows users to spot potential problems according to user defined preflight settings.

InPreflight costs US$70, though version 2.2.5 is free update for registered users of version 2.x. A demo is also available for download. InPreflight is available for Mac OS X 10.4.2 and higher, and works with Adobe InDesign CS, CS2 and CS3. It’s Universal Binary so runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel Macs.
