Sanyo introduces VPC-C5 Digital Media Camera

Sanyo has unveiled the VPC-C5 Digital Media Camera, a Mac OS X compatible device that lets you record MPEG-4 digital video at 30 frames per second and take 5-megapixel digital still photos. It has a 2.0-inch LCD screen and built-in image stabilization.
The US$699.99 VPC-C5 Digital Media Camera sports real time interpolation for 10-megapixel output and allows you to capture video and still photos simultaneously. Other features include wind roar reduction, 5x optical zoom, 12x digital zoom, 15 adjustable manual focus settings, super macro shooting (down to a distance of one centimeter) and a self timer (that can be set from two to 10 seconds).
The VPC-C5—which measures 2.7 by 4.3 by 0.9 inches—can also handle stereo recording (AAC-LC). It has seven scene select modes: auto, sports, portrait, landscape, night view, fireworks and lamp). It comes with a rechargeable lithium ion battery, a 128MB card, USB 2.0 and S-Video output. The VPC-C5 is also PictBridge compatible. PictBridge is a
technology that enables direct printing from any PictBridge compliant device to any PictBridge compliant printer, regardless of the manufacturer.
