IMSI/Design has released a free version of IDX Renditioner Express for Google SketchUp 6. The free version of IDX Renditioner Express—which can be used for unlimited commercial or personal use—plugs directly into the Google SketchUp interface and integrates one-click rendering with rendering capabilities. Right now it’s Windows only, but a Mac version is in the works.
The free version of IDX Renditioner Express supports renderings up to 640×480 pixels. You can work directly in SketchUp for revisions to the model, materials, environments, and lighting. You can mix and blend both natural and artificial lights, including an array of point and spot light types. The product includes the LightWorks rendering engine from LightWork Design.
The free version of IDX Renditioner Express for the PC is available now. The full version of IDX Renditioner supports 16 megapixel images (4096×4096) for large printing and adds multithreading for even higher performance needed with the largest files. IDX Renditioner is sold online for $199.95. Go here for additional product info.
